Appeal for contacts -do you know anyone who can help?
We've had a good chat with IiME this week and come up with some great ideas to raise awareness and hopefully sponsorship for the event.
What we are short of are contacts at some of the football clubs and magazines.
So just wanted to throw it out there; do you know anyone who works at one of the clubs we're visiting?
We've got some leads to follow up for Crystal Palace, Millwall and Norwich so far but any other shouts would be fantastic. Afterall these clubs probably get a lot of emails/letters that they can't/won't always respond to so it would be good to grab their attention!
There's a good chance that if they are interested in helping in some way (photo opportunity, sponsorship, petrol assistance etc) then we can get them good exposure on the IiME website and from the TV and Radio interviews we will be doing.
Will be publishing a revised route with actual times of arrival at each ground.
The aim is to co-incide with some of the bigger clubs matchdays e.g. Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal etc to maximise publicity/get in the matchday programme.
Likewise if you work for a sports/football magazine and know someone who would be interested in giving us some coverage/spreading the word then we'd love to hear from you!
If you can think of someone it would be great if you could get in touch on twitter/fbook or email (kid_a18@hotmail.com).
cheers all, proper update for you soon

3 months to go, much to be done!
2014! Little over 3 months to go until our crazy challenge for Invest In ME and the Rituximab Trial!!
Hi to all new visitors! We're working hard to organise events at the grounds, sort accommodation, corporate sponsorship, press exposure, hire car, packed lunches etc etc.
To find out what this is about then have a look at our older posts on the site and feel free to ask questions through our contact page on the right hand side.
Just a quick reminder of how to donate and follow the event until Kick Off;
To donate....
- please visit https://www.justgiving.com/teams/strobl and choose which team member you'd like to support.
- text 'IIME' to 70070 and the amount you'd like to donate
- but pay outside of justgiving.com and after the event, email us at our contact us section
- for a copy of the official sponsorship form to distribute or fill in please go to the contact us section
To follow on facebook go to www.facebook.com/92forME
To follow on twitter our ID is @92forME
There'll be regular updates, would be great if you could 'like', 'retweet', email to your friends and enemies etc.
We've had over 1000 visitors to the site so far, how amazing would it be if each visitor donated £1 to the cause!
The trial has less than £75K left to be raised from its original £350K target -how great would you feel about helping them get over the line and change thousands of people's lives??! Pretty damn great I'd say.
Cheers for your support!
Team 92.

Road Rage
So, we've decided that for every outburst of foul-mouthed expletive-ridden road rage the driver in question on the trip will have to donate 50p to the cause.

Sounds like a small amount of money until you consider that I recently came 2nd in an office of 12 for swearing the most in the month of October (this ended up costing me close to £30!).

Sponsorship and Social Media update from 92
hey all, apologies, a little quiet our end as we're waiting to hear back from some of the celebs, clubs and associations we've approached so far.
We have already hit 15% of our £2K target without really pushing it on people/promoting it fully, which is great news. One team member left to get set up with justgiving which will happen this week.
Lots of donations from people we've never met too which is superb. If you'd like to make a donation (anything is amazing) then follow the link below!
https://www.justgiving.com/teams/strobl
Please pass this page on to anyone you think might be interested in what we're doing, the more followers the better! 50 on FB, 134 on Twitter (@92forme) so far which is a great start.
Cheers all
Mike

London Calling!
Wow, I think it's fair to say that we all know a bit more about tubes and trains after a marathon planning session to fit in the 12 or so London clubs!
Here is our route for travel across the capital -if anyone can spot any major errors then do let us know in the comments section!
We've also bumped troublesome outlier Gillingham to Day 3 as Day 2 was looking like a whopper and we're now staying at Heathrow so as to get to Brentford and Reading quickly the next morning.

The Rituximab Trial
For full info on the trial and its effects so far click on link below:
http://www.ukrituximabtrial.org/ - £264K raised so far, £86K to go!
We believe that the UK needs a rituximab trial, both to benefit UK patients and to support the international effort. With your help, we can make this happen. At the 2012 Invest in ME international ME conference IiME announced we were looking into starting a rituximab trial in the UK. We have spent the last year working on that idea as part of our efforts in setting up a Uk examination and research facility for ME in Norwich. On 6 June 2013, we announced that we were initiating a UK rituximab trial and began fundraising for it.

ADLIB Recruitment - First Event Sponsor!
The lovely peeps at ADLIB (www.adlib-recruitment.co.uk) have agreed to be a sponsor for our event and tweet/plug/promote to the hilt.
In return we'll be slapping their logo on our t-shirts, flags, car, website and anything else we can fit it on.
Further discussions as to what they're willing to help us with are happening but for now it's a great start!
Cheers guys!
